Introduction to Air Handling Unit

AXENIC SYSTEMS (established in 1995) is the one of the major manufacturers and suppliers of AIR HANDLING UNITS for cleanroom applications. As we all know that this device is used to circulate and regulate air as part of a Heating Ventilating and air conditioning. AIR HANDLING UNIT is used to supply and return air directly from the space served without ductwork.

An air handling unit, generally known as AHU, is the arrangement of elements mounted in huge, accessible box-shaped units called modules, which accommodates the appropriate ventilation requirements for air-conditioning, purifying or renewing the interior air in a building or premises.

The air handling unit conditions and distributes air inside a building. They take fresh ambient air from outside, clean it, carry out the cooling or heating process, maybe humidify it and then force the air through some ductwork around to the intended areas within a building. Most units have an extra duct run to pull the used dirty air out of the rooms, back to the air handling unit, where a fan will release the air back to the atmosphere. Some of this return air might be recirculated back into the fresh air supply to save energy or else, where that isn’t possible, thermal energy can be extracted and fed into the fresh air intake.

The air handling unit is used in the cleanroom to maintain the environment of the room by providing a suitable volume of clean air to each room at a precise temperature and humidity.
