Types of Ventilation Technology

AXENIC SYSTEMS (established in 1995) is one of the leading companies engaged in planning and installing Cleanrooms to carry out several manufacturing processes. Cleanroom is a room in which the adulteration of airborne particles is controlled to a definite limit with the help of different ventilation methods according to the user requirements and cleanroom specifications.

A room is considered clean, when the quantity of aerosol elements and the number of bacteria in the air are maintained at a certain low level. It is difficult to visualize the treatment of patients, laboratory research, pharmaceutical production and the electronic industry without clean rooms.

The ventilation system is an essential part of clean rooms, ensuring compliance with limitations on air pollution, as well as compliance with requirements for a given microclimate. There are nine classes of clean rooms depending on the concentration of bacteria and dust in the air.

To decrease pollution in clean rooms of high class, special ventilation systems are required, in which the air flow transfers from top to down without turbulence. Within a laminar flow of air dirt particles from equipment and people do not scatter throughout the room but are collected by the flow near the floor.

There are 2 types of ventilation technology used in cleanrooms listed below:
1. Turbulently Ventilated Cleanroom
The non-unidirectional air flow cleanroom Originally known as ‘turbulently ventilated’, gets clean filtered air through high efficiency air filters in the ceiling. The fresh air is mixed with the room air and eliminates airborne contamination generated by people and machines.

2. Unidirectional Flow Cleanroom
A unidirectional flow of clean air certifies that only extremely clean air passes down over the procedure, protecting sensitive products and processes from airborne particulates. This means that the surrounding will be free from any particles shed from operatives, and any particles produced from the procedure.
